Renewable and Nonrenewable Resources of Mexico. Create a product with natural resources found in the State of Veracruz.
Working in pairs or individually, our students investigated in Encyclopedias and the internet, which natural resources are found in our State. With their findings they created a product that can be made out of some of those natural resources. They came up with an original idea for their products, gave it a name, designed a package for it, and prepared a t.v. commercial and a jingle to advertise their products. On the day of the final presentation, students came with a lot of different products, such as: “Jarocho Coconut” (homemade chocolate candy), “Ferroch” (feathered bobbypins), “G.P. Collection” (scented candles and earrings made of recycled materials), “Cokinuty” (elbow and knee coconut protectors), “Chilli-pineapple” (spiced chunks of pineapple), “Paz-teles Contreras” (homemade cakes), “Trowels Chocobombon” (Bon-bon, chocolate and cereal pop-cycles), “Coconut Butter” (Coconut Tanning lotion), “Super Lechero” (balanced cow food), “Pain away” (arnica ointment), “Fresh: Perfect Water” (soda), “Icy Mango” (Ice pop-cycles), “Vanilla and Orange Essences” (perfumes), “Lime pie” (lime pie in a cup), “Beauty Soaps” (flower and animal shaped scented soap), “Hi Sport” (cocoa fragrance), “Sweet Love” (perfume), “Limonara” (Shampoo), “Spy Kit” (invisible ink), “Chichacrunch” (homemade chicharrones), “Orange Skin” (Bath salt with orange smell).
